Reconceptualizing the divers of violence extremism

An agenda for child and youth resilience

This report was responses to the phenomenon of violent extremism in both Arab and non-Arab states. It examines the circumstances of violent extremism, and the unique vulnerabilities of, impacts on and consequences for children and youth, including presenting a new way of conceptualising violent extremism. Furthermore, the report also critiques legal and security measures in order to protect against the threats of violent extremism, as well as softer preventative measures for dissuading children and youth from attending violent groups. In addition, it provides a different framework for preventing violent extremism at both national and individual level by promoting a more integrated and resilience youth society for policy makers and strategists.
