The restorative approach to juvenile justice

This document aims at promoting restorative justice for children. It majorly emphasises on reparation, a crucial element of restorative justice, as it will put the child at the heart of restorative process. The first section of the document initially explains the concept of restorative process on the basis of reparation. In particular, it presents the impact of restorative process on the children in conflict with the law in a learning process with the approval of neuroscience in the field of criminal science, and how the different restorative processes involve the child and the process of reparation. The second section shifts the focus onto a more practical way of restorative justice process. It analyses the effectiveness of the restorative process, including considering some limitations regarding this process. Furthermore, it also proposes a way to incorporate reparation and restorative process into juvenile justice.
