Project Tsapar 2: Enhancing the protective justice system for children and women in Afghanistan

This report presents some key final results concerning beneficiaries of the Tsapar 2 project. It was a project carried out in Afghanistan by Terre des Hommes in partnership with Griffith University. It developed programmes focused on prevention and reintegration of women and children in conflict with the law. In particular, Tsapar 2 aimed at better protecting women and children’s human rights within the justice system processes and improving practices and protective services. This report is based on the analysis of data, both quantitative and qualitative, from women and child beneficiaries attending integration centers and children who were receiving services whilst in detention. It shows that intervention has a positive effect on general functioning and wellbeing. Indeed, children reported lower levels of abuse and neglect at program completion.
